Who Can Advise?

Once a mother brought her kid to Sri Ramakrishna Deva and told him, ‘My son is taking too much sweets, you please advise him it is not good to take so much’. Then Sri Ramakrishna told her to bring the child after one week. As he suggested she brought him the next week.

Then Sri Ramakrishna told the boy, ‘Don’t take so much sweets, it is not good for health.’ The lady said, “You could have told him this the previous week. Why didn’t you tell him then?’ Then Gurudeva replied, ‘I myself had the habit of taking too much sweet. First I wanted to stop it, before advising him’.
